I am a contemporary Canadian landscape artist. Going Down The Line

Going Down The line,

Stately old trees, the grand dames of the arboreal world, tell us tales of forgotten times if we'll listen what will they tell us?
The world has changed, for the better or worse.  Do they puzzle what will their future be as they walk in lock step with us into an uncertain future.
So many of their sisters have met the bulldozers, those ravening monsters too often fueled by thoughtless uncontrolled expansion.

Along Carriage Road

A small stream flowing into the Thames River meanders through the fields near Delaware, carving its way through hills and shaded by trees, offering refuge and nourishment to the wildlife. In the midst of a rapidly changing world, this stream stands as a sanctuary, at least for the time being.

Truman and Highbury

Grand Old Lady Trees are one of my favorite subjects, standing guard over a farm lane off a busy highway, imagine what changes they have seen.

Rural Geometry

Rural Geometry, Usually I'm attracted to the patterns I see in the undulation of the land, but in this flat as a pancake plateau, the patterns are all straight lines, the geometry of man. Glazed Acrylic, on cradled wooden panel, ready to hang,
12x16,  $335.00

Fruit Ridge Line

Inland from the lake, a steep road rises to the crest of the ridge that defines the shore of
 the ancient sea.
Fruit Ridge, as it's name denotes is the home to orchards and fertile farms that bask in the sun on
this
southern slope .

Just Outside Of Town

Just Outside Of Town,
To the South of town, the land is still farms, to the North the voracious city is gobbling land up. I record what is, but I wonder how long will this vista of lovely lyrical  lines will last?  Is the loss of productive land worth it or is there a way to develop more  intelligently?
