I am a contemporary Canadian landscape artist. I'm a visual story teller engaged in a mad race against time. recording disappearing pre-urbanized landscapes, as cities swallow land in fertile temperate zones. Going Down The Line

Going Down The line,

Stately old trees, the grand dames of the arboreal world, tell us tales of forgotten times if we'll listen what will they tell us?
How the world has changed, for the better or worse.  Do they puzzle what will their future be as they walk in lock step with us into an uncertain future.

Along Carriage Road

A tributary of the Thames River runs through the fields around Delaware, cutting through hills, dark under trees, providing homes and sustenance for the wildlings. An oasis in a fast changing world.

Truman and Highbury

Rural Geometry

Rural Geometry, Usually I'm attracted to the patterns I see in the undulation of the land, but in this flat as a pancake plateau, the patterns are all straight lines, the geometry of man. Glazed Acrylic, on cradled wooden panel, ready to hang,

Fruit Ridge Line

Inland from the lake, a steep road rises to the crest of the ridge that defines the shore of
 the ancient sea.
Fruit Ridge, as it's name denotes is the home to orchards and fertile farms that bask in the sun on
this
southern slope .

Just Outside Of Town

Just Outside Of Town,
To the South of town, the land is still farms, to the North the voracious city is gobbling land up. I record what is, but I wonder how long will this vista of lovely lyrical  lines will last?  Is the loss of productive land worth it or is there a way to develop more  intelligently?
