I am a contemporary Canadian landscape artist. I'm a visual story teller engaged in a mad race against time. recording disappearing pre-urbanized landscapes, as cities swallow land in fertile temperate zones. I use Elemental Texture, Luminous Colour, Symbolic Shapes and Lyrical Line and a process I have developed and call Glazed Acrylic. also see me on instagram @robinbarattaartist

As we travel the 401 super highway that runs from Windsor Ontario to Montreal Quebec the landscape changes dramatically.

At it's southern end, where I live, it runs through some of the worlds most fertile farmlands.

This is also one of the most densely populated areas in Canada, and this rich productive land is rapidly being bought up by developers. According to proposed Bill 21 ( MPP BA Braddy and Green Party leader M Schreiner) there is already enough land, that has been bought by developers, for over 2 million homes and projected industrial development, yet SW Ontario continues to lose 319 acres of farmland each and every day.....

When will this madness end!
