A century ago this  yellow brick farm house was someone's pride and joy. I wonder if houses remember... dream of yesteryear, take pride in the lives they sheltered? 

The city encroaches now, drawing closer every day.  Front end loaders, and earth movers stand at the ready, as the busy 401 highway thunders  close at hand. That proximity has made this location prime real estate, and an industrial park is planned. I know things change, time doesn't stand still, and these yellow brick houses once so emblematic of this region are in the way of progress, but still, lets take a moment to remember the pioneering spirit they stood for.
